'Get John to bring his camera along' was the request. No problem I thought - until I got there and saw the almost impossible photographic conditions. I hate flash photography so I like good lighting and I can just stand at the back and get a few snaps. Without it you need to stand at the front and risk blocking people's view - and so it was. Sorry, but it was either that or not the photos I had been asked for. The technical quality also inevitably suffers under such conditions - but if you have done better, do send them to Janet Etherington and let us all see them.
